My name is John Boran Jr., and I am a jack of all trades designer living in Sugar Land, TX. I specialize in identity and industrial design, and I am currently teaching myself furniture and type design.
Currently, I work at Pentagram on Emily Oberman’s team as a contract senior designer, where I specialize in identity projects focused on entertainment and technology. I am also simultaneously building a boutique homewares company to explore furniture, lighting, and other physical design.
Prior to now, I completed my MFA in Products of Design from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. While there, I picked up new skills in industrial design, design strategy, naming, experience design, and completed a body of thesis work focused on the intersection of human spaceflight & design.
